Eureka Broadway Multimodal Transportation Corridor Plan

Green DOT, in collaboration with GHD, was chosen by the Humboldt County Association of Governments to be a vital part of the project team entrusted with the development of the Eureka Broadway Multimodal Transportation Corridor Plan. This comprehensive plan aimed to alleviate congestion along a 3.25-mile stretch of US Highway 101/Broadway, which stands as the most heavily traversed route within the City of Eureka. Its primary objective was to enhance transportation options for commuters in this corridor. Within this project, Green DOT assumed the pivotal role of conducting an exhaustive analysis of the existing conditions in the project area. Employing a combination of document review, remote assessment, and on-site data collection, Green DOT meticulously compiled an inventory of the active transportation infrastructure currently in place along Broadway in Eureka. This effort resulted in the creation of existing conditions maps and GIS data, which in turn served as essential tools for identifying the infrastructure enhancements necessary for the corridor's improvement.
