Green DOT Transportation Solutions entered into a contract with the Alpine County Department of Community Development to complete the 2025 Regional Transportation Plan update. This update focused on long-range planning for all modes of transportation and was developed based on the 2024 RTP Guidelines from the California Transportation Commission (CTC). Over a span of 10 months, Green DOT helped identify 50 projects to develop the updated action element. A thorough examination of historical project records revealed that many entries were outdated and, in some instances, lacked clear identification. Consequently, a concerted effort was made to revamp the list. The refined project catalog now boasts concise descriptors, updated cost estimates, and comprehensive insights into the origins of each project. This approach to project documentation ensured that the RTP accurately reflected the evolving transportation landscape of the region. To guarantee the plan's relevance and adherence to contemporary standards, the RTP development process followed the 2017 RTP guidelines for California's Regional Transportation Planning Agencies. Furthermore, our efforts aligned seamlessly with the demand modeling requirements stipulated by SB 743 VMT metrics.
