2020 Siskiyou Regional Transportation Plan

Green DOT prepared the 2020 Siskiyou County Regional Transportation Plan while our team served as the Executive Director and staff for the Siskiyou County Local Transportation Commission. This unique dual role allowed us to bring an unparalleled level of expertise and insight to the project. Despite operating within a condensed timeframe, our dedicated project team delivered a comprehensive Regional Transportation Plan update in just over six months. This partnership facilitated the rapid identification of transportation project needs, spanning the next two decades, within the region. The collaborative effort extended beyond internal teams, encompassing active engagement with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), stakeholders, and the broader public.

Our team conducted an existing conditions analysis and community outreach to develop project recommendations for roads, bridges, transit systems, and bike/pedestrian facilities. Additionally, we developed and compiled the Initial Study to meet the environmental review requirements. Project recommendations underwent rigorous vetting and prioritization to ensure alignment with the community’s vision for transportation. A funding and implementation plan was developed to guide the region through the realization of these vital projects. The culmination of these efforts was the adoption of the 2020 Siskiyou County RTP update in August 2021.
