Green DOT developed the 2017 Calaveras County Regional Transportation Plan over a 12-month period, where our primary objective was to reconstruct the regional project list, which encompassed over 200 transportation projects spanning multiple jurisdictions within Calaveras County. Our comprehensive efforts involved a meticulous review of the existing project records, revealing that many entries on the historical lists had become obsolete and, in some instances, were no longer identifiable. To rectify this, we completed an extensive overhaul, resulting in a current project list that featured succinct descriptions, updated project cost estimates, and well-documented sources of project origins. Furthermore, our team dedicated substantial resources to formulate the financial element of the plan, as well as the establishment of performance measures. This rigorous approach was instrumental in ensuring the effective execution of each individual project. Throughout this process, we diligently adhered to the 2017 RTP guidelines established for California's Regional Transportation Planning Agencies. Additionally, our efforts were strategically aligned with the SB 743 Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) metrics in the demand modeling activities, underscoring our commitment to a comprehensive and forward-thinking approach to regional mobility planning.
