2019 Plumas Regional Transportation Plan

Plumas County Transportation Commission

Green DOT Transportation Solutions had the primary objective of identifying transportation infrastructure imperatives that will propel Plumas County forward until the year 2040 while creating the 2020 Plumas County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Following the stipulations set forth in the 2017 Regional Transportation Plan Guidelines, Green DOT created this strategic blueprint, positioning the County to actively pursue funding avenues essential for the realization of these imperative projects. Green DOT used our expertise in GIS, report development, grant writing, and design to create project lists for Plumas County and the incorporated city of Portola. These projects are categorized within both short-term (0-10 years) and long-term (11-20 years) horizons, meticulously calibrated to anticipated funding sources and their corresponding allocations. The development of the RTP was characterized by an exhaustive appraisal of existing conditions, coupled with comprehensive demographics research. Moreover, community outreach and rigorous stakeholder engagement formed integral components of the process, ensuring a well-informed plan that accurately echoes the transportation needs and aspirations of the Plumas County community. Ultimately, this culminated in the formal adoption of the Final RTP in January 2020.
