Green DOT Transportation Solutions is serving as a key subconsultant in support of Fehr & Peers for the development of the Calaveras County Active Transportation and Recreational Trails Plan. In this role, Green DOT is providing technical support across a wide range of tasks, with primary leadership responsibility for all community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities. This effort aims to enhance countywide mobility by expanding safe, accessible infrastructure for walking, biking, and recreational trail use, while aligning with regional sustainability and equity goals.
Green DOT’s contributions span multiple phases of the project. The team is supporting technical analyses related to trail network development, connectivity, and multimodal accessibility. This includes contributing to GIS-based mapping, identification of trail typologies, and assistance in evaluating infrastructure gaps for pedestrians, cyclists, and equestrians. In partnership with Fehr & Peers, Green DOT is also providing input on trailhead access, linkages to key community destinations, and opportunities to enhance regional connectivity.
In addition, Green DOT is managing targeted public outreach, with a focus on rural communities, youth, and underserved populations. Through interactive tools, trailhead intercept surveys, and stakeholder events, the team is ensuring that community input shapes a plan that is inclusive, actionable, and poised for future grant funding.
