2024 Rise Grant Program Application Development – City of Crescent City

City of Crescent City

Green DOT Transportation Solutions assisted the City of Crescent City in developing a grant application for the Redwood RISE California Jobs First program to develop the Redwood Coast Trail Network. The Redwood Coast Trail Network is envisioned as a connected network of bicycle, walking, and hiking trails from Lake and Mendocino Counties north through Humboldt County and terminating in Del Norte County. Current and planned local and regional trail systems would ultimately be connected through a network of gravel and dirt cycling/walking/hiking trails. The trail system would be easily accessible to residents and visitors through targeted marketing, wayfinding, signage, centralized visitor’s centers, and overall system design. The goal of the project was to build an organized, attractive recreation trail system that provides opportunities for residents and visitors to recreate and enjoy the natural beauty of the Redwood Coast Region.
Our mission at Green DOT Transportation Solutions is to collaborate with local and regional agencies, like in the Redwood Coast Trail Network, to streamline project development and delivery, ultimately creating more efficient and enjoyable transportation options for all. This grant underscores our dedication to achieving this goal, as we work to enhance transportation options across the Northern
California Coast, making it more accessible and aesthetically pleasing while promoting active transportation and outdoor recreation. This grant award is a testament to our expertise and unwavering commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure and the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
