2024 Del Norte County Regional Transportation Plan

The planning process emphasized collaboration and transparency. The Green DOT and Del Norte Local transportations teams partnered with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), engaged local jurisdictions, tribal governments, state and regional agencies to ensure the plan reflects local priorities. Building on a comprehensive analysis of existing conditions and projected needs, the RTP identifies and prioritizes transportation improvements across all modes—including highway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and emerging mobility options. A central component of the 2024 RTP is the development of a fiscally constrained funding and implementation plan, designed to guide practical investments in infrastructure and services. The plan also aligns with state and federal transportation policies, addresses climate resilience, and supports strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while improving connectivity for residents, businesses, and visitors. Adopted in February 2025, the 2024 Del Norte County RTP provides a strategic framework for delivering transportation solutions that respond to community needs today while preparing for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
