2025 Plumas Regional Transportation Plan Update

Green DOT Transportation Solutions collaborated with the Plumas County Transportation Commission to develop the 2025 Plumas County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). This comprehensive planning initiative adhered to the guidelines established in the 2024 Regional Transportation Plan Guidelines and served as a strategic blueprint that positioned Plumas County to actively pursue critical funding opportunities for essential transportation improvements throughout the region.

The development process leveraged Green DOT's specialized expertise across multiple disciplines, including GIS analysis, technical and demographic data review, policy development, and comprehensive project planning. This multifaceted approach ensured the creation of a thorough planning guide that addressed the unique transportation challenges and opportunities within the region.

The final RTP organized proposed projects into two distinct implementation timeframes: short-term initiatives spanning 0-10 years and long-term projects extending 11-20 years. Each project category was strategically aligned with anticipated funding sources and their corresponding financial allocations, providing a realistic roadmap for implementation that maximized available resources and ensured sustainable progress toward transportation goals.

Community engagement formed a cornerstone of the planning process, with extensive outreach efforts and rigorous stakeholder involvement ensuring that diverse community perspectives were incorporated into the final plan.
