Green DOT, acting as a subconsultant to GHD, was selected by the Humboldt County Association of Governments as part of the project team to develop the Eureka Broadway Multimodal Transportation Corridor Plan. The Plan was developed to reduce congestion on 3.25 miles of US Highway 101 / Broadway, the most highly traveled corridor in the City of Eureka, by providing more transportation choices for people who travel the corridor.
Green DOT’s role in this project was to conduct the existing conditions analysis of the project area. Green DOT used a combination of document review, remote analysis, and field data collection to compile an inventory of existing active transportation infrastructure along Broadway in Eureka. Green DOT developed existing conditions maps and GIS data, which were used to determine infrastructure needs for the corridor.
