In 2018, Green DOT Transportation Solutions was contracted by Tehama County Transportation Commission (TCTC) to provide on-call transportation planning services. Under this on-call contract, Green DOT has assisted TCTC in developing the 2018 Tehama County Regional Transportation Plan, South Ave Study, developed planning grant, and provided technical assistance developing the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP).
The 2018 Tehama County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) update improves upon past efforts and ensures compliance with the 2017 Regional Transportation Plan Guidelines. The purpose of the RTP is to identify transportation infrastructure needs in Tehama County through 2038 and prepare the County to seek funding for projects that will meet these needs. The RTP includes updated project lists for Tehama County and the incorporated cities of Red Bluff, Corning and Tehama and programs these projects in the short term (0-10 years) and long-term (11-20 years) based on expected funding sources and amounts.
To develop the South Ave Study, Green DOT partnered with W-Trans to evaluate the most effective long-term plan for South Avenue from Interstate 5 to Highway 99. South Avenue connects the City of Corning in Tehama County to State Highway 99 and carries numerous commuters, trucks, and agricultural vehicles. South Avenue also serves as a major connection to Chico in Butte County.
Green DOT has also assisted TCTC and the City of Tehama in project development and grant writing. Green DOT developed two Caltrans Sustainable Communities grants under the on-call contract.
